Philippine Independence

     Independence day in Philippines is one of the the most significant date in Philippine history because this is the mark of the nations independence and freedom from the Spanish hands on June 12,1898 the flag of the Philippines has many colors and every each of them has a meaning the red color represents Patriosm and Valor the blue represents Peace, Truth and Justice the white triangle symbolizes Equality and Brotherhood and the three stars represents the three main island of the Philippines the Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao

     The day is spent with family bonding with friends or other relatives and in either indoor or outdoor activities all government offices and schools are suspended as required by the law of the flag of the Philippines in order to freely celebrate the nations freedoms anytime with families and friends this is one of the wonderful moment that happened to the Philippines and to its citizen

     Why do we celebrate Philippine Independence? we celebrate it because it is a part of our cultural activities or ritual but this one is a lot different from the others because this is the day we are freed from the hands of the "mananakops" or from the hand of the Spanish Empire Independence day is announced by Emilio Aguinaldo and he also swing the flag of the Philippines at the front of their house on June 12, 1898 in Kawit, Cavite
